"The Timeless Appeal of the DAV BG3 Mid-70s Vinyl EQ"

Been adding some new equipment to the studio recently. One of the pieces is a wonderful EQ by DAV. The BG3 is designed by Mick Hinton and is based on the EQ he originally built for the legendary Decca Studio in the London. Uses in the 70's for vinyl mastering its still a firm favourite among many UK engineers, It boasts two bell mid-bands as well as Low and High shelves with boost and cut of 7.5dB in 0.5dB steps, finished of with a 25Hz High Pass Filter. Its an extremely musical EQ, with all the frequency choices sitting in the right places. It's without doubt one of the must underrated mastering eq's out there.
